The HR Manager supports business stakeholders, and line managers with The Laundress employee relations matters, performance management, and guidance on HR processes. The role’s objective is to provide consistent support with HR processes and enable smooth running of HR operations, and simultaneously build The Laundress employee experience. The role requires a customer mindset and strong bias for action.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an agile and flexible resource on managing HR related issues while serving as a change agent.
  • Provide reporting and analytics based on organization needs and driving insights for leads using existing data
  • Lead change management efforts around growth culture and process evolution
  • Lead end of HR activities and agenda including payroll/HR operations, employee relations, employee engagement, recruitment, leadership coaching and development
  • Provide guidance, lead and support Line Managers on performance management process
  • Coach and consult on organizational design and management issues, as well as challenging and/or influencing decision-making processes
  • Foster leadership success as a proactive thought partner, anticipating the business cycles and serving as a consultant during periods of change management
  • Manage day-to-day employee relations issues, including escalation to Employee Relations partners
  • Maintain effective employee relations through implementation, investigation and case management of employee relations concerns
  • Manage relationship with greater Unilever HR to ensure the Laundress is aware of policies, tools, training, and in general, benefitting from the deep expertise outside of our organization.
  • Responsible to develop and maintain knowledge of all key HR tools, systems and processes

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to provide both verbal and written information clearly, succinctly, and persuasively as well as ability to influence others
  • Continuous improvement / simplification mindset and experience
  • Strong stakeholder management with ability to impact and influence different areas of the organization
  • Action-oriented to initiate appropriate resources and tools to ensure delivery on key HR processes
  • Proven track record of successfully working in a growing, dynamic organization
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Ability to work independently, taking ownership to positively influence end to end results despite differing goals and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills are important as well as attention to details and an ability to multi-task and see work through to conclusions (project management experience a plus)
  • General knowledge of payroll and HR systems and operations

Qualification & Experience:

  • 5+ year’s HR experience
  • BA/BS Required
