Job Description:

This will include process automation, regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability improvements. Utilizing monitoring to remain aware of issues that require your attention, and proactively solving problems. You will have the opportunity to drive operational best practices within Twitch. Your actions will keep the heart and soul of Twitch smoothly humming around the clock, delivering video to our tens of millions of users.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor graph analytics to identify potential problem areas
• Automate existing manual processes
• Perform daily, routine, and complex system administration/maintenance, escalating when appropriate
• Manage and coordinate incident response
• Manage and operate systems across different technology stacks
• Influence and drive adoption of operational best practices
• Create and maintain documentation around process and workflow
• Ensure continued smooth operations of the global network infrastructure
• Troubleshoot network and video operations issues

Job Requirements:

• Willingness to participate in 24/7/365 shift work
• Experience in bare metal servers
• Experience with StackStorm / Operational automation
• Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years experience as a Network or Systems Engineer
• Experience with Python and GO-Lang
• Experience in WAN & LAN technologies
