Tesla Jobs – Industrial Electrician

Job Description:

The Industrial Electrician is part of Tesla Toronto Automation team. We are looking for a highly motivated, “hands-on” individual to join our team in the creation of control panels and wiring of field devices for a new generation of high speed, automated manufacturing equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Electrical systems testing and debugging
• Assembly and point-to-point wiring of machinery control panels
• Wiring field control devices of custom engineered automated machinery.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
• Populating panel back plates, point-to-point wiring, and field wiring of machine control devices
• Interpreting electrical schematics and device layout drawings
• Commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting of PLC based systems
• Lead efforts on safe work practices for the team

Job Requirements:

• Basic computer skills required
• Must have excellent English reading, writing and verbal communication skills
• A valid Journeyman Electrician License- 442A or 309A license
• Must have thorough knowledge of current industrial electrical standards, ability to read electrical schematics, working knowledge of PLC’s, sensors, motor control drives, servomotor systems and basic working knowledge of pneumatic controls.
• Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment.
• Experience using basic hand and power tools
• Ability to travel internationally to support machine installation and commissioning.
• Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
