Job Description:
Madisonville is a Type A General Law City. The City Council is comprised of the Mayor and five Council Members. The City Council appoints a professional City Manager, who is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all City departments while also executing the policies and objectives of the Council. The City of Madisonville seeks a visionary leader experienced in managing an expanding community who can plan for growth and be able to communicate needs and present ideas and options clearly to the City Council and residents.

Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, political science, business, finance, or a closely related field is preferred.
- Desired candidates shall have a minimum of five years of experience in municipal government with at least three years of experience as a department director, assistant city manager, or city manager.
- Experience as a City Manager or Assistant City Manager in a similar or larger size city is highly desired. ICMA-CM or CPM professional certifications are a plus.
