Job Description:

Provide physical technical security expertise to sites, business lines, and Global Security on security technology selection, implementation, and maintenance that comply with company standards. Mitigate security risks by providing technical security solutions that are cost effective and easy to manage and maintain.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support troubleshooting of technical security systems and continuously review existing systems and practices
• Foster close collaboration with internal teams (Property Management, Global Projects, ExxonMobil IT) as well as business lines to develop security designs, procedures and plans that ensure operational effectiveness
• Support Global Security Advisors and managers as well as sites for any physical technical security applications or questions
• Interface with manufacturers to ensure cost alignment, as well as correct installation methods
• Develop and update Global Practices (GP’s) that foster realizable practices, policies and procedures to ensure quality and operational effectiveness
• Responsible for risk analysis, cost estimates, countermeasure selection, operational narrative, preliminary design and budgeting, pre-bid support, bid package creation, and detailed design/installation support for team members
• Responsible for supporting new and existing physical security systems globally in leading the design and installation process along the entire lifecycle of the project
• Responsible for creating physical electronic security systems design that assure fit-for-risk, best cost, and best operational performance
• Create and deliver supporting documentation, and project-specific specifications for inclusion in commercial and technical tenders
• Provide and steward technical oversight, development, advancement of solutions/technology for the business, and manage manufacturer/vendor/contractor relationships within the technical security areas where listed as a Global Subject Matter Expert

Job Requirements:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Industry leader in the understanding and application of all technical systems in the area of physical security
• Proven history in supporting projects remotely globally and interfacing with diverse cultures
• Proven ability to lead and interface with electronic and software manufacturers to improve products and solutions
• Strong understanding of industrial security risk, security surveys and vulnerability assessments (ASIS PSP or CPP desired or obtained within three months after hire)
• Basic understanding of firewall, router, and switch deployment methods, as well as understanding of communication protocols
• Leading technical security teams with in-field industrial hands-on installation experience for a minimum of 5 years
• Proven lead in deploying and installing industrial physical security systems for a minimum of 10 years for very large industrial systems
• Basic understanding of integration methods and cybersecurity methodologies and protections
