English Heritage Vacancies – Catering Manager

Job Description:

This role is full time between April and October and part time between November and March. You’ll have the option to move to an annualised contract in April 2022 where your monthly salary is paid in equal installments equivalent to 32 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities:

As part of the management team you will lead, train and coach our staff to deliver the highest standards of food, presentation, safety and customer service. You will focus on building the capability of the team, driving results and controlling costs to ensure we make a surplus for the charity. Working with colleagues you will develop local and seasonal menus and identify new opportunities at site.

You will understand exactly what it takes to deliver excellent customer service and have experience of supervising a catering operation, delivering staff training and managing team performances. You will set and maintain high standards of safety and hygiene and be great at keeping records of these.
