Job Responsibilities:

  • Writing documentation for code and development processes.
  • Drive features and services from concept and requirements to deployment
  • Collaborate and communicate with teams around the world to deliver media streaming solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and team support/mentorship
  • Create backend applications for a variety of different projects, including media processing, workflow orchestration, API design, and DB design
  • Work with the full application lifecycle. Requirements, writing code, debugging, testing, and infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Keep up to date with new and emerging technologies, and seek opportunities to innovate, experiment, and prototype new ideas.

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding or working knowledge of container-based architecture with docker
  • Experience with serverless and microservices architectures
  • Strong creative problem solving and time management skills
  • Understanding of the web stack and how data, such as video, is delivered to end-users
  • Familiarity with agile or other team-based methodologies
  • Strong understanding of git
  • Fluency in programming languages such as Go, Python, Node.js, and Java
  • Familiarity or strong interest in learning media streaming technology
  • Experience with RESTful web services and database design and implementation
  • Professional media streaming experience, including media encoding, packaging, and delivery

Qualification & Experience:

  • 3+ years minimum solid real-world experience
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with build pipelines and CI/CD tools such as Terraform and ArgoCD
  • C/C++, Rust experience
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
