Job Description:

The reference data team within equities data provides client and instrument static data services for front office trading and middle and back offices trade processing systems through the Quorum reference data platform. Quorum sources this data from internal enterprise systems as well as external data sources (vendors/stock exchanges), enriches them with CRG specific information and then distributes the data. The sourcing, processing & distribution data needs to be accurate and is time critical for the business operations of the Bank; sophisticated algorithms within Quorum and a performance–focused architecture meet these demanding criteria. You will work on many initiatives enhancing the capabilities of the Quorum platform for existing production purposes or building out new functionalities aimed at supporting the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and enhance data governance processes and procedures within reference data
• Execute technology roadmap for the development team based on delivery targets and overall strategic program plan
• Liaise with technology stakeholders from equities front office including order management (OMS), execution management (EMS), algos, and routers to understand all technical and operational aspects of data flows and integration points
• Foster relationship with enterprise data management teams and continue to improve the engagement between enterprise and equities data teams
• Conduct detailed business and functional analysis to produce requirements/specification documents for the reference data development team

Job Requirements:

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL and logical data modelling is required and knowledge of other data tools (Tableau) or data processing languages (e.g. Python) preferable
• Extensive experience as a business functional analyst: gathering, eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements
• In depth understanding of client/account or instrument reference data and associated data models and its use within equities front and middle office trading applications
