Job Description:

The Investment Strategy Group provides strategic investment advice to both institutional and private clients with particular emphasis on the US and Canadian equity markets.  The group routinely produces and publishes multiple research reports, oversees model portfolios and maintains a robust database of fundamental, quantitative and macro models and analysis.  The ideal candidate must be willing to demonstrate an entrepreneurial and results-oriented background to be part of this fast paced, deadline driven team. This person will provide data support for the Investment Strategy team in all aspects of developing research for clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fulfill client research requests
• Assist with special ad-hoc projects, presentations and initiatives as assigned
• Maintain and update existing fundamental, quantitative and economic models
• Add insight to our ongoing research process by reviewing and improving existing models
• Provide support to analyst and team as required
• Analyze financial market data and trends to assist in idea generation
• Participate in and assist with all strategy publications

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of statistics or econometrics is a plus
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet sensitive deadlines, sometimes for extended periods of time
• Self-starter – must be organized and the ability to work independently is an absolute must
• 1-3 years max of relevant research or asset management experience, experience on a buy or sell side equity strategy team is a significant plus
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 or ability to attain any required licenses within 90 days
• Superior customer service focus and attitude for internal and external clients
• Overall knowledge of FactSet Universal Screening and related code building is an absolute must (candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency during interview process); advanced Excel skills (including macros/VBA) would be a significant plus
• Ability to prioritize work and multi-task responsibilities
• Proficient in FactSet alpha testing
