Job Description:

As a Barclays Strategy Manager you will be responsible for supporting and leading a variety of strategic efforts inclusive of playing a pivotal role in building strategic plans that help further define opportunities for continued diversification of the business. You will manage the business’s ability to establish its short, medium, and long-term plans in a highly dynamic industry. You will develop and oversee corporate strategies in order to support business development’s growth objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

• Partner with project managers and key stakeholders to develop an engagement and escalation process; include risks and issues where dependencies have been identified
• Scope and manage projects day-to-day
• Own key stakeholder relationships (including cross-functional)
• Lead a portfolio of initiatives focused on building business within the USCB
• Develop knowledge and understanding of portfolio/ project risks and dependencies to assess the impact of issues and make recommendations to impacted stakeholders
• Analyze existing business strategies and practices and provide recommendations for improvements
• Be responsible for developing strategic plans to improve ability to reach goals and improve profitability

Job Requirements:

• Extensive experience in external management consulting firm or internal strategy
• Experience across consumer financing strategy, including but not limited to consumer loans,
• BNPL/POS financing, cobranded cards, private label cards and BaaS.
• Financial services practice is required
• Experience working with external consulting firm or an internal strategy team, leading 1-2 projects independently
• Experience in POS financing, Consumer Loans, Cobranding Cards, Private Label and
• Emerging Consumer financing trends
• Bachelor’s degree
• Business development projects/ programs experience
• Breakdown silos and reach across functions and organizations, leverage direct and indirect resources across organization, work with senior leaders and drive discussions
