Job Description:

As a Barclays RnA BTB Developer you will be responsible for understanding and taking ownership of major components that are leveraged across the applications within the analytics portfolio. This includes regular enhancements and architectural improvements to the current systems in addition to features and new applications driven by business needs or IT mandates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing extensive data analysis
• Providing 2nd line support for business related queries and technical issues
• Developing new and enhance existing applications to support business expansion with emphasis on scalability, extendibility, testability and maintainability
• Performing complete testing of units, applications and systems, coordinating with business users when necessary
• Communicating with sales teams in New York on regular basis
• Cooperating with upstream and downstream systems’ development teams
• Designing, developing and maintaining reliable and high-performing server-side frameworks and components to support web-based UI

Job Requirements:

• Experience with Python
• Knowledge of financial products will be a plus
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS
• Experience with Java 8 +, Java EE, Junit, JavaScript / Angular development (Angular 2+),
• Spring, Springboot and its modules
• Knowledge of the HTTP protocol, RESTful web services, JSON and XML data formats, HTTP sessions, and basic web infrastructure (load balancers, clustering, etc.)
• Excellent understanding of the Object Oriented Paradigm and knowledge of design patterns
• Experience with cloud – AWS, Chef is preferred
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related experience
