Job Description:

As a Barclays Data Manager, your involvement will become integral to the delivery of Group Data strategy within Risk, Finance and Treasury Chief Data Office. Your focus will be on the data strategy, driving and delivering compliance of the data management standards, using strong stakeholder management across different domains. You will also play a role in the strategic data transformation programmes and engagement with senior stakeholders, such as Barclays Internal Audit.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting with data governance and quality assurance activities
• Owning the relationship with the Data Domain business teams to ensure data standards are part of the domains business, as usual operating model
• Providing a data domain lens on all data management standards, while working with the horizontal owners of each of the standards
• Working alongside other Chief Data Office teams to ensure consistency of approach and front-to-back lineage being delivered including business benefit articulation
• Influencing enhancement to lineage & metadata tools benefiting Chief Data Office & Domain stakeholders
• Providing project updates and report on progress on data quality and control remediation activities
• Working closely with subject matter experts, technology & operations functions to ensure compliance to the data standards including identification and resolution of data quality issues

Job Requirements:

• Solid knowledge of Data Management concepts and relevant experience in data governance and architecture
• Experience in Risk, Finance and/ or Treasury areas of corporate and/or investment banking
• Experience of working with distributed teams
• Excellent MS-Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and Visio skills
• Understanding of Risk, Finance and Treasury functions within banking industry
• Working knowledge of Project Lifecycle methods (e.g. Software Development Lifecycle, Agile) and understanding of the principles and frameworks of successful project management
• Understanding of risk systems/ architecture
