Job Description:

As a Barclays Product Owner you will be working within our Global Payments function, focusing on payments programmes, taking prime responsibility for planning and delivering changes using agile methodologies. You will work with a range of teams varying from business owners to architects, shaping new ideas and solutions at inception. You will be working with stakeholders to prioritise user story deliveries and ensuring that project deliveries are in line with product owner expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Business analysis activity, ranging from requirements gathering to working on delivering user stories
• Leading a team, ensuring everyone understands what is expected of them and how they are performing against the measures set
• Ensuring the delivery and presentation of deliverables is to appropriate levels of quality
• Taking responsibility for the agile delivery elements as Product Owner
• Working in collaboration with different stakeholders and teams to shape new ideas and provide solutions to support out overall strategies
• Maintaining leading-edge personal and professional development by regular and focused activity, which covers the complete development spectrum
• Keeping up to date personally with latest thinking by attending and presenting at conferences, producing research material for leading-edge journals, etc.

Job Requirements:

• Financial services experience preferred
• Stakeholder management, including working with business owners and external stakeholders
• Understanding of Business Analysis methodologies
• Ability to work with resources across multiple locations ranging from UK to Asia
• Deep agile understanding and ability to champion agile within the team
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent Payments knowledge from a business, operational and technology perspective, ideally with both High Value and Low Value Payments
