Job Description:

As a Barclays Automation Engineer you will be joining the team at an exciting time. We’re looking for Automation superstars with a taste for improving/ creating/ maintaining automation scripts. Job Responsibilities:

• Keeping an open mind and learning new tooling concepts to strive for Continuous improvement
• Supporting and collaborating with the Team, and taking ownership of driving forward relevant stories through to completion
• Working closely with the Scrum teams, and other Teams as needed, particularly DevOps to ensure the Automation is maintained/ improved
• Act as champion of TDD, BDD and automated testing – providing support and training to other Test Engineers to help build capability within the Test Team
• Working as an Automation Engineer with a focus on Cypress (JavaScript Automation Tool)
• Assisting automated testing tools and techniques, particularly to support Regression testing across our Platform

Job Requirements:

• Cypress
• Experience of working GIT & Agile testing practices
• DevOps, API & SQL experience
• Sound knowledge of JavaScript
• Understanding of the Automation Frameworks (creation/ maintaining/ improving)
• Component testing with JavaScript
• JIRA (Issue tracking and Test management)
