Ally Employment – Credit Policy Risk Analyst

Job Description:

The Auto Business Line Credit Policy Risk team is responsible for supporting product, underwriting, and contract processing teams as they decisions that will impact the credit risk of Ally’s Auto portfolio. The team is responsible for data identification, data extraction, data processing, analysis, and the packaging of results for distribution. Our efforts are foundational for the advancement of new business initiatives and strategies, the optimization of existing processes, and the management of staff and business performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Entry or early career level Analyst role is responsible for analyzing potential risk and completing routine risk assessments on auto business line requests.
• Tasks may require operationalizing and updating pricing, statistical, and optimization analysis models for business line activities.
• Contribute to projects and model development to support the goals and objectives working closely with Risk, Operations, and Product on new strategic initiatives.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details
• Understanding of financial and economic principles
• Advanced knowledge MS Excel and PowerPoint
• 0-2 years of experience in the financial services industry, with knowledge of (or exposure to) financial analysis, treasury, and risk
• Quick learner and has demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and execute small to medium scale projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present material to senior executives
• Experience working with SAS and/or SQL
• Internship or experience in related field
• Ability to work effectively in fast paced environment with tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in related field strongly preferred
• Experience in consumer automotive finance industry
