Job Description:

The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, Operations Enablement. They will be responsible for the daily delivery of the end-to-end Ecommerce Operations across all Canadian stations. They will also be responsible to work cross functionally and develop a strategy in all aspects of Ecommerce operations, workforce planning, operational budgeting. Furthermore, they will also be responsible to lead a team of Operations Service and Delivery Managers in the major Canadian hubs to success. Finally, this position will build a culture of accountability, diversity and inclusion of all team members and front-line employees.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop necessary budget and staffing levels and coordinate the work of all operations
  • Work with a variety of cross functional teams (Marketing, Digital, Commercial, Finance, Customer Experience) to ensure that operational insights are embedded into all initiatives
  • Ensure that goals and objectives are met, and that corrective action is taken when necessary
  • Implements a continuous improvement plan and culture to ensure the company has the capability to meet growth opportunities as well as all business requirements and objectives competitively
  • Responsible for managing the operation within budget guidelines
  • Meet regularly with Station Managers and facilitate the resolution of problems between departments
  • Providing leadership, direction and management to the Operations Service and Delivery Managers
  • Implement new business strategies for creating or improving processes and procedures to improve operational performance
  • Develop infrastructure strategy with Operations engineering to support future growth
  • Responsible for the daily end-to-end execution of the Ecommerce operations across all stations

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to excel and make decisions working in an extremely fast paced environment
    Extensive knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, Collective Agreements, WSIB, RTW Programs, Health and Safety, Environmental policies, and procedures
  • Experience in Process management and resource planning
  • Able to lead teams using Lean Tools-SIPOC, Value Stream mapping, Waste Identification, Problem Solving (PDCA), Kaizen, implementing 5S
  • Outstanding academic record including a bachelor’s degree and or 2+ years of related work experience and a track record in proven leadership in the logistics industry
  • Extensive Operational knowledge of Cargo/Ecommerce Systems (i.e., Unisys, Smartload, iRamp, SmartKargo)
  • Excellent knowledge of overall warehousing processes and ramp operations and aircraft limitations
  • Extensive Operational knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures and Process based on IATA handling requirements
  • Experience dealing with high profile customers and ability to find resolutions to their concerns
  • Able to lead a high performing team of Management to success through people skills, mentorship, and coaching
